Arrábida Bridge

Arrábida Bridge

The Arrábida Bridge, designed by Edgar Cardoso, with a span of 270m, was for some time the world record for reinforced concrete arch bridges. Inaugurated in 1963, it reaches 70m above the average level of water. The four great pillars that complete the central zone of the bridge present bronze sculptures, integrated in the innovative spirit and the modernist aesthetics of the Bridge.
